Morr Kolambu

This is a Thanjavur style morr kolambu, which I saw in a magazine . It tastes very good and the aroma is just great!!!!

Ingredients:

White pumpkin - 1/4 kg
Sour curds - 1 cup

To fry and grind:

Urad dhal - 2 tbsps
methi - 1/2 tsp
jeera - 1/2 tsp
Green chilli - 2
Red chilli- 2
Coconut - 4 tbsps

Fry the above in little oil(add coconut in the end and fry a bit)..

Method:

Cut the pumpkin into medium sized pieces and boil till soft.. Stir the curd adding little water and salt. Grind all the ingredients and mix to the curds. Now add the cooked pumkin, little salt and boil. Once it starts boiling switch off the stove. For the seasoning, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, methi and hing, preferably in coconut oil.
