Basic Salt Biscuit

Baking was something that was new to me..For that matter, even cooking was some months ago.. :-) As we have a conventional oven over here, I was curious to try out some simple baking stuff.. And my goggling led me to a simple biscuit recipe . Since I was new to baking, I kept the original method without any remixes.. :-) ... Here is the method for a Simple country Biscuit

Ingredients :

Sifted All purpose flour (Maida) - 2 cups Baking powder - 2 Tsp
Unsalted Butter -
4 tablespoons Salt - 1\2 tsp
Milk - 3\4 Cup

Method :

Sift flour, add the baking powder, salt and sift again.Add in the butter and mix them (Use ha
nds).Add milk gradually, stirring until a soft dough is formed.Dont put pressure while mixing. Put them on a floured board and lighty knead for a minute, enough to bring it to shape. Roll 1\2 inch thick and cut with 2 inch floured biscuit cutter.Bake on greased sheet at 400 degree C . This would make about 12 biscuits.

PS:

* I didnt have a biscuit cutter, so used a knife to cut the biscuits. It did come out well.
