
Usually I make palak paneer. For a change instead of paneer I used aloo. Not bad ya, it turned out yummy!
Ingredients :
Aloo - 1 Big
Palak- 1 bunch
Onion - 2
Tomato - 1
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dhania powder- 1tsp
Jeera powder- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Garam Masala powder- 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder-1 1/2 tsp
Butter- 2 Tbsp
Coriander leaves- little
Salt- as required
Method:
Boil potatoes till soft and cut into cubes.Chop onions and grind to paste. Chop tomatoes and take puree. Fry the palak in little oil and grind it. Take a kadai, heat it and put butter. When the butter melts add Jeera and saute. then add the onion paste and saute for a minute. Later, add ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Mix it well. Add all the powders and salt. Add the palak paste and mix well. Little water can be added if the consistency is thick. Add boiled potatoes and mix the gravy. Boil for 5 to 10 mins , add coriander leaves and serve hot with Pulkas or Chappatis.
