Chilli Chappati

It was common to have left over chapptis at our home. It would only find its way to the trash the next day . I was just thinking of using it in different way.Just like how we idly uppma with left over idlis. On Goggling ,I came across this recipe.It was great food for a evening snack and we just love this.




Ingredients

Left over Chapptis - cut them in long rectangles/squares
Onion - 1,cut into long
Bell Pepper/Capsicum - 1, cut into squares
Tomato- 1 , chopped finely
Green Chilli - 3/as desired, slitted
Cilantro/Coriander leaves- few
Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp/ As desired
Salt - as desired

Tempering

Oil- 2 tsp
Mustard Seeds- 1 tsp
Saunf - 1 tsp
Tumeric Powder - 1 tsp
Curry leaves- a few

Method

Heat oil in a wok. Add the ingredients for tempering.Once the mustard seeds crackle, add the onions and green chillies.Fry till the onions turn soft.Now add the bell pepper,tomato and cook till the tomato are soft. Add the red chilli powder,salt and ketup. Add the cut chappatis and give it a good stir.Garnish with cilantro. Serve hot with a hot cup of chai.
